Went to my second pow wow yesterday and it was awesome. I took my oldest with me because I knew he was old enough to really appreciate our cultural history as I am half Cherokee. My son if you know him is not really out going around stranger, but yesterday he was talking to everyone he saw. When I asked him about it later he said "Well Ma it's the first time outside of our family that I actually felt like I belonged there. IS THAT GREAT OR WHAT? I promised him we would go to all the future pow wows we could find out about. Oh, and he also wants to learn the Cherokee language and join the drumming group.
